About the Host
"I work in finance, private equity, so I deal with business owners all the time. I was like, hey, why not do a podcast where I get to tell their stories?"
Jack Pitts, in the Riverside-Brookfield Landmark
I'm Jack Pitts. I co-founded Salt Creek Advisory with my brother, Connor. We're a sell-side M&A investment bank for owners of privately held, lower-middle-market companies, usually with $2 million to $75 million in revenue. I lead client relationships and buyer outreach.
Before Salt Creek, I worked in private equity business development at Blue Wolf Capital and Kingfish Capital, and in investment banking at ButcherJoseph & Co. I graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University. I'm also the founder and CEO of HelmIQ.
The show is a chance to hear, on the record, how owners built their companies. It takes its cue from NPR's How I Built This, with more time on privately held businesses.
